Kapten Ameerika on Marvel-i stuudio viimane eraldi seisev superkangelase film enne järgmise aasta Tasujate filmi ehk siis viimane eel soojendus.Selle filmiga saavad läbi kõikide tasujate eraldiseisvad filmid(praeguseks).
Lugu toimub teise maailmasõja ajal,lugu räägib Steve Rogersist(Chris Evans),kehva füüsilise vormiga mehest kes on armee kehalistelt katsetelt mitu korda läbi kukkunud.Tema võimalus saabub siis kui dr.Abraham Erskine(Stanley Tucci) kaasab ta programmi mille tulemusena saab Steve'ist supersõdur Kapten Ameerika.Steve'i eesmärk on peatada natside teadusdivisiooni Hüdra juht Johann Schmidt(Hugo Weaving),enne kui Schmidt maailma vallutab.

Steve's best friend Bucky also joins the army and heads off to the war
Then after another failure he is actually recruited by Dr Abraham Erskine and with the help of the super soldier serum he becomes Captain america.But just moments after he becomes cap a spy from hydra causes a diversion,shoots Dr Erskine and steals the serum and escapes triggering a chase wich ends with cap diving into the ocean and catching the spy(who kills himself).
Poor Rogers just wants to be a soldier and fight in the war but instead he is assigned to play "The Star spangled man" in a musical and be a chorus girl.
The first big thing he does comes after he learns that bucky along with his patalion is captured by hydra in austria.With a little help from Howard Star(Tony's father) and Peggy Carter he sneaks to Austria,rescues Bucky and frees 400 soldiers,he also has his first collision with red skull who first blows up his hydra base and then escapes.
After that he sets out to "wipe hydra off the map".He is mostly successful except on one mission when they try to capture red skull's assistant dr.Arnim Zola on a train,Bucky dies.
Thanks to Zola they learn that Hydra's main base is in the alps and they go there to capture Schmidt.
Schmidt escapes on a huge plane and cap follows but not before he gets a kiss from Peggy Carter.Cap defeats red skull(sort of,watch the movie i'm not giving away enything that important),but he is forced to put the plane down into the water and so he is lost and is not found until what is the beggining of the movie.That bit right before he lands in to the water is actually sad because he has a date with peggy and they never see each other again.
SIIT!
But now for my opinion.Basically THIS MOVIE IS EPIC!
From the moment this movie started my first thought was that i love this movie.
The movie is what was promised,an epic adventure with a superhero who is not exactly ordinary.Chris Evans is absolutley perfect as captain america.
Movie plays out very swiftly and is not cheesy like some movies i know,the 3d is used pretty well too.
Now I really did not dig Thor that much. The movies was good but it was a bit boring. Chris Hemsworth totally owned Thor, but yeah something was missing.
So when I went to see Captain America i was a bit skeptical.
I am happy to report that i was surprised, the movie exceeded all my expectations and managed to grab the nr 1 spot on my best of 2011 list.
Like I said Chris Evans in probably the only person capabale of filling Cap's big shoes. Simply said, he is just awesome. He looks cool and as for the performance, he really delivers. One of the coolest aspects of the film is the Shield. Captain America's weapon in the coolest seuperhero weapon ever.
The movie is everything I hoped for and more. It is action packed, awesome and the story is really interesting.
