Snow White and the Huntsman

Oh look, I guess someone has messed up the universes. Bella made it to a magic kingdom, ruled by Charlize Theron and it seems Thor has found a way from Asgard to the middle ages( he doesn't have a blond wig this time)

Snow White and the Huntsman.

snow white huntsman 1024x819 Movie openings this week end: Snow White and the Huntsman, What to Expect When Youre Expecting

Snow White's evil stepmother wants to kill her and Snow escapes.etc.

I can't say I had very high expectations for this movie and for the most part it delivers.
Snow White and the Huntsman is fast paced, mostly immersive and overly stylized fantasy flick with characters who are not one dimensional and cartoonish. And that's a good thing.

I really have to hand it to Kristen Stewart this time. She really carries out the role and ( yes I will say it) she has power. Snow White and the Huntsman is far better than that other crap Stewart has done in recent years. I will mention that the name Snow White is used only a couple of times in the movie, she is mostly reffered to as Princess. There's really not much talking in this movie at all.

Chris Hemsworth portray's the Huntsman, who is sent to kill the Princess. The Huntsman is not your typical Tough guy. He is a really cool and strong character. The audience can connect with him, because of a personal tradgedy,  caused by the evil Queen. He's accent is really interesting, they have emphasized his accent and he sounds a bit funny.

Probably the most impressive work in the movie comes form Charlize Theron. She portray's the mad queen obsessed with eternal beauty. Theron really plays out, how crazy the queen is. And she really look's good, her hair, clothes, jewelry.etc.
The story is pretty interesting, there is rarely a dull moment in the whole movie. There are also many fight scenes and a lot  of action.  The story may not be anything super-special but on the plus side this movie is not some colorful kiddie friendly, fun take on Snow White.

Visuals are the best part of the movie. Snow White and the Huntsman is a tough, crispy and dark version of the classcial fairytale. The movie is mostly set in dark locations and the overall color palette is very dark and muddy which goes very well with the story and fits in tot the big picture. The visual style kind of reminds me of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, only there is less color and no Johnny Depp here.

What really brings color into this movie are the Dwarves. The Dwarves are played by actors like IanMacShane and Nick Frost.etc. The Dwarves really fit into this movie and they also bring a sad note into the film. One of the few problems I had with this movie is that some characters are kind of pointless. If they had erased a few minor characters, the film would not have lost anything.

Snow White and the Huntsman is a very stylish, action movie with strong characters and strong visuals which gives us an opportunity to see Snow White from a different angle. An applause to Kristen Stewart for outstanding acting, she does a really good job.
